Yuhang One

It is an interactive art installation. It uses a submarine cabin image to create the structure of the space, and produce a marine eco-scenery; an interactive game design that encourages an intensive participation: thus the audience can shoot hoops underneath the mechanical baskets that move like waves and also raise more than ten kinds of marine organisms. “Yuhang One” is a highly-integrated artwork. While focusing on aesthetics, space design and an entertaining function, it also meets commercial requirements. The circular interactive shooting installation merges with the entire space making this sunken area into an interactive Techno-wonderland. Besides displaying our unique design in itsstyle, in the process of interacting with the installation, we hope that participants can experience the fun of shooting balls at the digital screen. We have also extended the act of shooting and scoring to combine with a mobile app and the membership system of the shopping mall, so that customers can gain membership points through shooting and scoring. The aim is to combine the interactive entertaining art installation with customer behavior.

In this sunken, high-ceilinged commercial space, we want to create an interactive art installation that combines sport, art, childlike fun, space design and customer behavior. The project, “Yuhang One”, was inspired by the game of basketball combining the unique high ceiling and the sunken theater space of the shopping mall. Made of glass, and with interactive circular LED as the main body of installation, we have carved out many round window screens. Children can enjoy themselves amongst the sea of hoops flowing with the waves, while the hoops themselves glow colorfully on scoring a basket. Due to its highly integrated system, after this unforgettable interactive experience, parents and children can collect memories and recollect this beautiful time with the visual data saved on their mobile devices.
