Leap 2017

2016

“Leap 2017” was a New Year’s Eve celebration event held at Jinqiao International Business Plaza in 2016. It was planned by noiseKitchen Art Co., Ltd and included indoor and outdoor concerts over two days. The team included Ju Percussion Group, noiseKitchen’s new media installation “Spectrum 66”, the Happiness Choirs of Jinqiao International Business Plaza, as well as the well-known Japanese composer Koji Sakurai as the music supervisor and composer.

With both the indoor and outdoor performance, we mixed traditional percussion playing with modern technology artistic techniques. For the outdoor shows, we combined the performance of Ju Percussion Group with visual image projections directed by Taiwanese new media artist, Chang Po-chih. For the indoor shows, the new media art installation of “Spectrum 66” was combined with a live band. The merging of the lighting and visual effects of “Spectrum 66” and the Christmas tree installation respectively, along with the percussion performance, succeeded in creating a brand-new sensational artistic pleasure to the audience.
